If I Were An Animal
If I were an animal,
I might just be a bird—
wings stretched wide,
dippin’ through clouds,
sippin’ on freedom
like it’s my birthright.
Flyin’ high
past borders they build
to box me in,
touchin’ every continent
like I was born global.
Or maybe I’d be an orca—
black and bold in the deep,
swimmin’ the seven seas
with rhythm in my dorsal fin
and songs in my soul.
Dancin’ with the waves,
unbothered, undefeated,
unapologetically wild.
Then again—
maybe I’m the black mamba.
Silent.
Sleek.
Deadly with intention.
I move with grace,
strike with purpose,
carry that mamba mentality
like a crown
and a warning.
Kobe ain’t die—
he just passed the torch
to women like me,
focused, fierce,
and never foldin’.
