Dreaming Free

If I ever win the lotto

Don’t look for me at no fixed address

I’ll be floating from Cairo to Cape Town

Light as breath

No landline

No timeline

Just freedom stitched into my sundress

Frugal like my elders taught me

But full in spirit

I won’t be anyone’s ATM or savior

I’ll sow seeds

Not cash out favors

I’ll back dreams, not drain myself dry

'Cause I learned some blessings ain’t meant to be bought

Time won’t own me

No clock will cage me

I won’t punch in unless it’s soul work

Or sunrise dancing on a new shore

I’ll smile wide

Give joy like warm sweet potato pie

Show love in laughter and presence

Not just in paper

No, I don’t aim to fix this whole world

But I’ll protect my peace like a crown

I’ll speak my truth, paint my sky

And never let this world paint me down

I just want financial peace

The kind that lets me exhale

I want to live fully

Love loudly

And roam freely

'Cause life

Life's too short for anything else
